Our sons are a generation of boys who have better relationships with their Game Boxes, iPods, televisions, and computers than they do have with their families. His world is one where pornography is no longer a hidden shame, but encouraged as entertainment. Our sons are in a daily battle of the mind, being bombarded by conflicting messages fighting to distinguish who they are and what a man is suppose to be. We all know how important a Godly, loving father is in a boy’s life. You and your son are very blessed if you have one. However, too many mothers are alone in their battle to raise their beloved boys.
God’s intervention, combined with a mom’s prayers, preparation and power of influence in her son’s life, can empower and equip the next generation man, his marriage, and his future family. Our God is the same today as He was when He raised up mighty men in a fallen world thousands of years ago. He is bigger than any statistic! Just look at all the great men in our nation who attribute their success in life to their mother’s influence and prayers!

My wife loves our 16 year old son so much her heart aches and breaks at his teenage ways. After listening to the broadcast I ordered your book to encourage and help her (us) to continue to engage with him… Thanks (BTW – I shared your “I’m 52 and still hot, it just comes in flashes” with my wife last evening. We both had a well-needed laugh!)
I just heard your broadcast on Focus On The Family, and I am humbled by Jesus sweetness to hear my cries and attend unto my prayers! Just last night in my bed when everyone else was asleep I cried thinking about my oldest son (14 yrs.), and how short of time I have left with him, and so desperately not wanting to fail him as a mom. I identify with your story on So many levels. My childhood was full of deep betrayals and wounds. The great news is that God mercifully allowed me to suffer which created my need for Him. During your message the tears began to flow, and it led me to the feet of my Jesus where I released my fears to Him in a precious prayer time I will never forget!
Also through forgiveness and mercy the Lord has been redeeming and restoring the relationships I have with my mom and dad too…miraculous!!! Thank you Sheri and Thank you Jesus!!!

It is a sobering thought that I have the job of raising my son to be a dedicated husband and father, and in a single home it is a difficult task.
